Hello fellow cockpitbuilders!
Today is the day I was waiting for for days. The Flight Training Device from Cockpitsonic has arrived! I couldn't wait for unpacking it and adding it to my collection of stand-alone instruments. The FTD is a nice piece of work!
After fitting the MCP and one EFIS, I hooked it up to see how it's like to sit in my cockpit and to get a feeling of being a captain. I can tell you, it's perfect!
I still have to figure out why the "six-pack" and the "AFDS" are not functioning the way I expected, but I'm sure it's a minor issue like configuration. Maybe one of you could help me with that.
The next thing is buying some 19" monitors to fit into the FTD and have PMDG display the ND and PFD. For EICAS I am planning to use FSXpand on a 15" display.
If there is something new to tell you, I will do just that. ( Or maybe you don't want me to :))
