In the neverending quest for more realism, (good excuse to keep on tinkering), I now have some improvement on the feel of rudder pedals, where the centering force will increase with airspeed. Since this is done electrically, it also has the possibility to add static offset (trim) or dynamic signals (landing with slip) inputs. The DIY force feedback system can be added to other controls as well, like elevator and aileron.

Some more details can be found at http://www.simprojects.nl/diy_force_feedback_interfacing.htm and http://www.simprojects.nl/rudder_pedals_with_force_feedback.htm

Didn't you mean where the deflection force would increase with airspeed (instead of centering force). I would think that the centering force would be reduced with increased airspeed since the air stream would be pushing on the rudder and helping to center it.

To clarify : As airspeed increases, the force feedback system will increase the opposing force for the same rudder deflection, by increasing the servo amplifier gain. See also attached graph.
