Hello,

I am working on a B767 project, and decided to take a break from working on the MIP. So, I decided to work on the throttle quadrant. Here it is , about 90% completed. I connected in to the Plasma MM2 12 bit joystick card from Beta innovations, and got it calibrated and working in no time.

For inspiration, I used real photos, and measurements and also relied heavily on the photos posted by Ivo De Colfmaker, found here;

The annunciators are made from small lego pieces ( this was discussed in an ealier thread), and the flaps are spring loaded for a nice feel.

Tim,

I relied heavily on these two web sites for construction ideas and measurements. Please take a look;

http://www.simpit.de/b767dim/pedestal/page_01.htm

For construction;
http://users.pandora.be/dci/build.html

He also as a tutorial at his site as well which helps explain much of the process.

For much of the shell covering, I used 1/4 inch Sintra board, which is a type of foamed plastic. I found that by laying the sintra board on a pizza stone in a warm oven for about 3 mins, that I able to bend, curve it quite easily(just make sure your wife doesn't catch you!). I used this idea to get the large curved piece on the from shell of the throttle quadrant.

I bought mine from here;
