I'm looking to build two crew seats for the 737. I found this tutorial on flightsim.com. http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kds?$=main/howto/727seat.htm but i cant work out the dimensions as its imposible to get the angles.

Does some one have more detailed sizes and angles of the seats.

Thanks
David

There's a dimensions link in the tutorial text. Click on that and you'll get dimensions.

I've looked at the dimensions i just cant get them to work out without any angles. I'm trying to draw it on autocad. The dimesnions are only for the edges.

Thanks David

Why don't you get nice car/van seats in a scrapyard, build a base with an "areo" look and add someting like that in the back.

Cheap, solid, nice looking and fast.(+reclining and easy to adust)

Here is a thread from when I built my crew seat:

http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/showthread.php?t=9964

The dimensions I used are in one of my posts so scroll down a bit to find them. This was not created on a computer but laid out right on the wood with a pencil and ruler.

I have found that the seat back is a tad tall. Maybe by as much as a couple of inches so you might want to lower that a bit.

These are for the older Weber seats found in first generation Boeing jets. The IPECO and newer Webers are not the same as this.

Good luck. The contact for the correct seat covering material is in a post in this thread too.

I used the above link as a starting point for my seat, but made changes and some improvements over the original design.

Hey Michael,

I just recently started working on my home 737 cockpit and I will be happy if I can manufacture my own seat, for now.
You have a very affordable version of the seat and I was looking for the measurements, but it looks that there are no longer available.
Any idea on how to get them ?
Thanks a lot !
