The question was brought up about having a live chat room available. We actually did until recently when I deleted it. Now that's it's gone, the question was brought up :)

So I thought I would create a small poll and see if there is enough interest in putting it back up.

The Chat room can be made to have several subjects, and opened in a separate window. Actually can be left on in a small window without being at the MyCockpit site.. It's pretty slick, but was surprised the lack of use.

So PLEASE participate in the poll and help me decide what I should do.

I think one reason it was not used, was no one knew it was there. I know I thought we had taken it down long ago. Lets see what the members think.

The only downside that I see to it would be,

A) Not having the discussion on the forum, for other builders to contribute to.
B) Getting caught while we should be doing other stuff!

I guess that these chats would be more informal stuff, so it's not a big deal really.

I vote Teamspeak. And if you add video capabilities to it.... (Look at Yahoo IM, Voice and video chats)

There is a TeamSpeak server set up and running already! Will look up the data.. At least I think it is still up.... But the chat we are talking about is just text....

Lets add a front page link to it with something that indicates people online currently. There is not an easy way to get to it, and its not advertised on the home page.

TeamSpeak is absolutely an option and it is something we are capable of, as at one time it was a very active portion of mycockpit.org.

Great idea Andy :D

TeamSpeak: Might be nice to establish some dates and times on a regular basis so we can plan ahead for the discussion. Such as once a week to start.

Topics of interest could be pre-planned and posted ahead of time.

With this activity all over the world we may need to plan multiple times to cover all areas of the world.

Vendor participation would also be encouraged. :cool:
