cannot get phidgets to interface with flight sim x i need help!!!

Hello,

I am not sure I quite understand your question. Do you think that possibly you could explain your situation.

Are you using FS2Phidgets software? Do you have the proper runtime files installed? Do you have a registered copy of FSUPIC?

You cannot ask a question and expect someone to answer you with no information.

Does this make sense to you?

(Do you have the phidgets card plugged into the USB Port on the computer)?

Is it a Phidgets input card, output card, led64?

There are far too many variables to guess at, its almost like my daughter coming to me and saying... "Guess What?"

Some description is needed here.

i have all the software: fsuipc 4.2 licensed fs2phidgets v2.1.3 phidgets library 2.1.3 and it is an 8/8/8 interface plugged in via usb

Still need to be more specific if you want us to help. What specifically are you doing, what is your setup, how are you connected and are trying to work switches, pots, etc.

well its not setup yet im just hooking it up to see if i can get it to work before i spend a ridiculously long time building equipment for it only to find out it wont work. by the way you sim looks great i went on the site to see if i could find the answer.

I am using phidgets with FSX and it works for me what exactly is the problem that you are having?

well to put it very simply it doesn't work. I'm running fs2phidgets which says it all ok and working but when i go onto fs it wont recognize it at all. i followed online instructions and assigned all the controls but flight sim will not read the inputs. being a nvice at this kind of thing i have no idea what is wrong.

well a few things i can think of is that you may n ot have phidgets running in the background or your mode is selected to Configure and not Run Time.

Since this is a Phidgets issue you should have posted this into the Phidgets section. If you click http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/ and scroll down you will see the Phidgets Section and FS2Phidgets. Alan Dyer is the moderator and this is the area of the site he will follow up with.

You you wish I can move this thread into one of the 3 Phidgets area's.

I think i have found the problem me being an idiot thought i had already registered it but i hadn't so that could be why. thank you for all the help and i will be sure to repost any issues in the phidgets section when they arrise but one more question do i need widefs?

do i need widefs?
Only on the remote machines. You dont need it on the FS machine as widefs is built in to fsuipc.
