Hello

My name is Bruno Chávez, I'm from Monterrey, México, I'm not a pilot, but I love the flight simulators, and I want to create my own cockpit cessna 172...

I know is a really hard work, but I hope I can do it...

I want to know where I need to start... I have all the map of the cockpit created with wood, but this is easy, the hard job will be the instruments... LOL:)

Regards to everyone...

Hi...

That's are great.. this instruments are cool.... but, I know I'm crazy... but I'm studyng and reading a lot... :o LOL:) but I want to create any of the instruments, I think that if I will create a cessna 172 cockpit, then I will create all I can, if not, then, I will buy everything, connect to the sim and play... but I think that this is no really the best for me... I want to start constructing the instruments, because the panel is in process... then I want to know if you know where I can find some diagrams for the instruments... Me and a friend who is electronic engenieer, we are working in this... What do you think??

Regards...
Bruno Chavez

I think if you want to build your own instruments you need Mike Powell's book!
http://www.mikesflightdeck.com/ I think this a very good project and look forward to following your progress.....

Personally, I think that if you are able you should try your best to buy at the least the Artificial Horizon, because that is going to be a hard instrument to build without a lot of info and help (I would think) and if possible, buy them all as kits and build yourself, but not from scratch. Just my opinion though!

Have fun, I would like to see any home built instruments.

Even home-builders use commercially available instruments.

Welcome to the site.
