Hi,

does anyone here have or use the B373 TQ from Cockpitsonic?

http://www.cockpitsonic.com/oxid.php/sid/b2790f73a16b12c3b39c3ec5bdcc95e7/cl/details/cnid/208442fe1d0caff22.41224929/anid/d9a433eab6ebd7e81.17022795/B737-throttle-unit/

if so what are your impressions both re the TQ it self as well as re Cockpitsonic in general?

any hints would be welcome either here or by PM

Peter

Don't have it, but it has made my shortlist for a throttle for my 'pit (when I have saved more money as I have spent $5000 on my pit in the last month - I am skint! :) ).

Just for info - if you were looking to order or enquire, Cockpitsonic now have bases on each side of the Atlantic;

www.cockpitsonic.com (http://www.cockpitsonic.com) - For European orders and enquiries, and

www.cockpitsonicusa.com (http://www.cockpitsonicusa.com) - For US, Canadian and South American orders and enqs.

hi,

yes im aware of them being over the pond now as well, no good for me as i am in Spain.

I am basically just trying to compare a few TQ's out there..

Simparts is made of a ALL metal but its a kit form and i cant really see myself "putting it together" (aka a song of Stephen Sondheim)
Cockpitsonic is made of Plastic Parts only and Im not sure I like that idea in the long run.

I dont think there are others around for the same price range is there?

If only Engravity or FDS would give some hints...:?

simparts say on their website that they will put the TQ together for you if you contact them for details. dont know what kind of cost is involved though.

For a ready built TQ from Simparts you end up with a bill for 3400euros.
But it`s worth it, the quality is great.

yep im aware of the overall Simparts cost, and Euro 1400 quoted for them putting it together estimated at being 7 hours work, in my book equals Euro 200 per hour. I don't even pay my Lawyer this per hour..

Hence.. i would want views on Cockpitsonic or others..

the B737 TQ is possibly the most needed part of the set up, yet the most difficult to source..

Right, but also we must remember that there are law schools. There are no home-built flight sim schools. As a result, labour can be a bit higher :-)
