Hi All,

I want to introduce you to my "ATR 72-500 cockpit building attempt" ;).
The challenge is pretty hard since there is anything ready for this aircraft so I had to start building everything by myself (as many of you are doing of course).
I published a website (http://digilander.libero.it/washburn_it) where you can find useful info, especially for those who are starting and don't know "how to do".
There you can find how to drive an alphanumeric LCD displays through the parallel port, how to interface a rotary encoder, how to use a Master Card (by Opencockpits) and SIOC and also a glass cockpit set of instruments (developed by me) for the ATR 72-500.
I hope that my experience may give a contribute to this community.

Regards from Italy,

Roberto

A very nice project, Roberto
The ATR was also my choice until I found the ERJ.

Excellent work on the avionics, just shows what can be done by home builders - I'm looking forward to more pictures.

Thanks all of you for your nice words.
What you are doing is really impressive guys !
Unfortunately I don't have such room to build a cockpit shell so I'm going to build only some parts of the cockpit (actually as many parts as I can fit into the available space ;)).

Regards,

Roberto
