For those of you familiar with the FAA CAPSTONE project, my brother in law owns an A and P service at Big Lake, AK, he is looking into becoming an install/repair shop for Phase Three, this is where the FAA gives IFR certified aircraft owners up to 25,000 USD worth of avionics for free in a one time deal to test out this new system, NGATS. These avionics, in short are similar to the GARMIN 1000, and the Chelton version, so I am building a GA, IFR, "CAPSTONE" avionics familiarization similator out of an old Cessna Fuselage. It should be similar to what Fidelity Flight Simulations is offering, but homemade. More on this later. I still in the research phase, although I purchased the G1000 simulator from Garmin, I'll post something when I get home and test out the software. Any input would be appreciated if anyone knows of similar software suite or has experience with the G1000 Simulator.

I just got my PPL training in a G1000 equipped Cesna 172. What do you want to know about it?

I am more intersted in the Garmin G1000 simulator software, as I have just ordered it. Or any other software that simulates the G1000 style avionics.
