I'm still trying to find the best way to get a great front visual system out of the cockpit. I have tried shining my projector out in front onto a wall. I didn't like the openness between me and the wall... just didn't feel right. I tried the bed sheet idea on a plexiglass windscreen which gave a better feel of being inside a cockpit but wasn't very clear. I recently tried the two plexiglass panels from a big screen tv which I felt gave me the best between the two others but has some fuzziness on the outer edges that drives me crazy (looks good at night). So, I was going to try a Dazian rear projected screen layed onto a clear plexiglass windscreen until I came across Screen Goo. You take this special paint and spray it right on to the clear plexiglass windscreen and then hit it with the projector and it should be bright and clear. Has anyone heard of or tried it? What was your experience if you have? Here is some information: http://www.theaterthings.com/goo-information-what-is-goo.asp

Looks interesting. I could paint the entire room with it...

Careful, they have a front projection Goo and a Rear projection Goo. Make sure you order the right one.

Lyle,

I have tried most of the methods you have tried, and I can tell you that I get the best image from a really good Bed sheet placed about 6-8" away from the "plexiglass windscreen" curved around the entire windshield. Don't let the sheet actually touch the plexi, It limits the fuzzies more but doesn't give you all the empty space between the cockpit and the screen. Your eyes get the depth feeling of looking through the glass into the flightsim world.

Give it a go, I am sure you will be happy, but be sure to stretch that screen as tight as you can to get rid of the wrinkles.
