Hi All,

has anyone else seen this problem...

I try to tune an ILS for Runway 28 at EIDW (freq should be 108.9) by entering the ILS identifier IDW. This seems to be ignored by MCDU which still displays some default value of 111.35 (I think..) in small font.

But if I tune the ILS by it's frequency, it works fine and even is able to identify it as IDW i.e. it knows that IDW = 108.9!

I have had the same problem at other airports as well.

This has worked for me in the past and the only change I made recently was to install the navdata test cycle which is recommended by PM (downloaded from their site).

thanks,
Ryan.

Do you know of any downloads that can operate the Opencockpit's FMC?
I know of Project magenta, cost too much for me at this time. If you know of others a little less expense, that would surely help me.

Thanks a Million,

Hi

The MSFS ILS frequency for RWY 28 at EIDW is out of date. The information in the navdata is apparently correct. As such, you either ignor the correct data and retune to the old ILS frequency in the FS database or you use some kind of scenery editor to update the FS ILS frequency to the correct one.

I made an earlier post about this somewhere else, you have to watch this kind of thing now as the FS data is getting older.

The posting above is correct - it's out of date information. The correct freq is definitely 111.35. Not all of the info in the (Wilco) Airbus database is trustworthy. I have found a LOT of the courses are way off too, sometimes by 10 degrees! I always check with the charts, FS Commander or some other source for the ILS information these days. Then enter it manually on the Rad/Nav page yourself.
