The screenshots for this product look absolutely incredible. It makes me more anxious for the FSX bugs to get worked out. Of course, by the time that happens, Im sure we will be on to FS11 if it's developed.

Regardless, have a look at this site, even if you have no plans to ever migrate to FSX. It's a nice collection of shots: http://www.flightenvironment.com/index.html

That does look sweet!!

I know most of us Australians are aware of Vistaoz for FS9 and ORBX simulations for FSX, if you have not heard or seen ORBX simulations website 'have a LOOK at this!'

http://orbxsystems.com/

At this stage its for Australian Scenery only........

Man, that is some nice stuff...kinda like FlightScenery's stuff, except over a much larger area!

Thanks for the heads up on that!

Take a look here- they also have a ground breaking product coming for terrain also- http://www.flightterrain.com/features.html-

Ive read that the weather changes via the net can change the water textures. How awesome is that?

Making the transition to FSX much better down the road once I can afford to run it.

What's nice is that like I mentioned before, it appears that we will have a near-Flight Scenery quality terrain all over before too long if I read it correctly.

On another point, there's a quote over in the Avsim forum taken from ACES Member PC-12 that now that 'Acceleration' (the FSX Expansion Pack) is completed, they are now turning their resources to FS11.

To me, that is GREAT News, and here's to hoping that FS11 will be to FSX what FS2002 was to FS2000- a very nice fix and easy to run.

Hi,

yesterday evening (CEST) I spent about 2 hours finetuning my FSX installation. After that work I enjoyed 15 to 40 FPS doing a traffic pattern around KSEA with the default Skyhawk. All sliders were at maximum, except traffic which is disabled at all. I didn't test such settings with ActiveSky X/XGraphics yet, but even the standard graphics look phantastic. Only drawback is that switching views in the Citation X seems to be bugged - after cycling through all views the 2D cockpit drops to ~2FPS. Knowing that and avoiding any viewchanges it runs smoothly for more than one hour. But I'll do further investigations of course.

I'll post details and some screenshots tonight (of course some LJ45 for Tomlin!).

Cheers

Ya know, last night I decided to fire up FSX for the first time in quite a while and after seeing some great screenshots on the Avsim forum, I decided to go to New Zealand for the very first time ever in any version of FS.

So, here I am on the active for a quick test flight of FSX in the Learjet at Christchurch- I am blown away again by the 'feel' and overall improvments of FSX. I love my install of FS9, but FSX really does have some great changes, despite the aggravations. I got great FPS considering my aging machine and it makes me look forward to using FSX one day for the sim's software once I get a better machine for it. I cant wait to use it with products such as Flight Environment and Terrain X. Looks fantastic.

AND...the default Learjet looks so much better in FSX, and flies like a champ with the slight mods I did to the airfile.

Eric:

Last week I purchased Active Sky X and XGraphics - big mistake. The lighning is absolutely over the top, clouds really look like clouds and you have - first time for me - that "on top" feeling when leaving overcast conditions @ FL170. Active Sky 6 doesn't compare at all, or I'm too stupid to get such results from it.
And yes, the default LJ45 seriously kicks a**!

I finally managed to create some screenshots.
If you want different views or aircrafts please tell me, I'll create and upload them.
