Well since May 15th, I have been very busy doing something up until now, I only dreamed of! I am now a Private Pilot!!!!! I have been very busy training and testing so it left me no extra time to keep in touch. Sorry.
I took my family up today for the first time. My kids loved it! Wife got a migraine from being stressed! LOL

Anyways, my goal is to get my instrument, commercial, multiengine and ATP.

Oh yea, and start building my new sim!

Hey - congratulations!! A great achievement. I remember that feeling like it was yesterday (even tho it was 20 years ago :)).

Just dream up every excuse you can to fly and share costs with others - and fly far and wide. Keeping current and safe without going broke is the challenge.

That is awesome! I know you must have ripped a huge smile when you got your ticket!

Thanks!!

I guess all those hours in the 737 sim finally paid off. I trained in the new G1000 equipped 172. Since i was already used to a glass cockpit eniroment, it was an easy transition. It still hasn't really sunk in yet though.

It cost 110.00 per hour to rent so i need a better job now LOL

Luxury! We've got it tuff. Try flying in Aus. It'll cost you around $170AUD per hour ($135USD) for a C172 and with steam gauges at that.

Congratulations and happy flying. As Nic says, it's a battle between keeping current and going broke.

Here is a way to keep current that won't cost as much. The initial outlay is more but then you OWN your own plane.
