    F-28

I was wondering if anyone knows of a pitbuilder that is building a F-28 Friendship?
    Or anything like it.

    Thanks

Fokker F-28 "Fellowship",, sorry the Friendship was the turbo prop F-27.

An 85 passenger twin turbojet (Regional).

It was very popular a few years ago but I hear it was a real gas guzzler and you don't see them much anymore.

Ahhh ok, thanks. I am not surprised now that hadn't heard of it. I don't try and keep up with airliner type aircraft.

Good luck with your project. I can understand your problem. As far as I know, I am the only T-38 pit builder.

Fokker F-28 Fellowship, loverly little airplane, i use to fly on KLM's fleet once every 2 weeks, always seat 1A, so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

Are you building the classic cockpit version or the glass cockpit version? Keep your eyes on Ebay, usually a few parts on there.

Good luck with your project, keep us posted.

I might be getting a few F-28 parts from a friend. Hopefully a throttle quadrant and pedastal .
If that comes about , I will probably start plans for one.

A glass cockpit is what I was thinking because it seems like it would be a lot easier and cheaper than the analog guages. I'm not sure if the F-28 ever fllew with a glass cockpit but I don't think I would be that fussy. It would probably turn out to be more of a generic twin engine jet cockpit.
Probably part 737 and part F-28.

Anyway,, I'll have to see what happens in the planning stage.

ever thought of building the fokker 70/100 ? (f28's follow up)

There is quite a few F100 builders here and also some excellent F100 flightmodels.

Very clean all glass cockpit, so quite a bit easier to build than the F28.
