    Praising the PMDG 737NG

This is by far the best payware investment ever! Why is this jet so easy to handle manual?? I've been practicing manual landings at KSFO and the only time I crashed was when I forgot to put the landing gear down.

Right now my setup for manual flying, is the visuals on 2 17" monitors and the PFD is windowed and positioned on the bottom left corner of monitor 1. The throttle quad is displayed on the bottom right corner of monitor so I can keep track of how fast I'm going and where my flaps settings are. Manually, I've been keeping my speeds below 200 kts and have been landing on the runway at speeds between 160 kts and 170 kts.

This jet is unreal. Landing is so easy. I've even successfully landed at Kai Tak 4 times today. The 747, I'd be lucky if I make it to the runway lol. I'm kinda wondering if its that easy to fly this thing in real life.

This makes me wanna fly a 737 sim right friggin now!!!

Your landing speed is too fast. Look up the charts for the aircraft. I would hope as something as sophisticated as the PMDG would come with printable performance charts.

IIRC, the 737 lands at around 125-140 depending upon weight.

Another thing to check is fuel. If the AC is maxed out you should not be landing it. You will find lands better with less fuel. So many fun things to learn.

    Yeah PMDG rocks!
My mate who really flys the 737NG and PMDGs version, says that PMDG is just fine except when it is banked. He says the real thing only needs half as much pitch up to remain level, in other words, it sinks too much in a turn. It still lends itself to sim building very well, I hope the FSX version comes out soon.
Is there any config file tweakers out there who would know how to fix this flight model? Is it possible?

Wow. I wanna fly a real one. Actually I'd be happy flying a full blown sim. As for tweaking the file, I have no idea. I wanna know if there is a way to change the engine noise for the PMDG 737? It sound great but the engine noise of the PMDG 747 sounds way better.

Here's a couple of youtube videos that I have uploaded.

Manual landings are cool.... in this aircraft anyways

In the first video it looks like you have your cockpit setup as the copilots side based on the positioning of the throttle and PFD. In the second you might want to delay gear retraction until you have established a positive rate of climb and not just a postive rotation. Otherwise it was neat to watch... good job.
