    problem with defining radio commands in the keyboard section of .cfg file

    Hi, I am trying to assign keys to the radio panel using the fs2004controls.doc at www.schiratti.com
    Com 2and Nav1 functions cannot be assigned, they always get taken out of the .cfg file after I edit. here is what sticks:

    COM_RADIO_WHOLE_DEC=83,8
    COM_RADIO_WHOLE_INC=50,8
    COM_RADIO_FRACT_DEC=87,8
    COM_RADIO_FRACT_INC=113,8
    NAV2_RADIO_WHOLE_DEC=71,8
    NAV2_RADIO_WHOLE_INC=53,8
    NAV2_RADIO_FRACT_DEC=84,8
    NAV2_RADIO_FRACT_INC=116,8
    CENTER_NT361_CHECK=57,11
    VIEW_TYPE_REV=83,11
    INVOKE_HELP=191,10
    COM_STBY_RADIO_SWAP=88,8
    COM2_RADIO_SWAP=86,8
    NAV1_RADIO_SWAP=67,8
    NAV2_RADIO_SWAP=66,8
    COM1_TRANSMIT_SELECT=9,8
    COM2_TRANSMIT_SELECT=140,8
    COM_RECEIVE_ALL_TOGGLE=27,8
    AIRSPEED_BUG_SELECT=82,11

    I cleared up the Keyboard section of the file and tried to start from scratch, save for some basic commands.

    How are you doing the edit? What program are you using?
    How are you saving it? Do you save it as .cfg or are you just clicking 'save'?
    God's in command, I'm just the Pilot.

    the file is OK, but MSFS edits the .cfg files when running and it takes out whatever it doesn't like.....I was thinking maybe I am not writing the other radios in correctly, although I just copied and pasted from the fs2004controls.doc.

    I could get by with one radio and one nav, but I wanted a full stack.
