    Paolo,

You will need to do 2 things:

    (1) Set range for FS Variable FLT_ALT
    (2) Set format for TextLED

Here is how to do (1)

    Fire up FSVariable.exe.

    Open FS2PhUIPC401.ini using menu (CTRL-O).

Set the high and low values to values you need.
Note: internally pmSystems stores 1,000 feet as 100.
For example entering -100 for low value and 4500 for high value will restrict flight altitude value from -1,000 to 45,000 feet.

Make sure "Wrap values" check box is clear.

    Press Save icon.

    Number (2):

    Fire up FS2Phidget.exe.

    Select "Configure" radio button.

Click on TextLED row in Phidget list.

Click on Text LED component assigned to FLT_ALT.

    Press "Calibrate" button.

    Enter Format as
    0000"0"

    Press OK.

    Regards,
    Alan.

    Paolo,

    Check the following:

In FS2Phidget click on component assigned to FLT_ALT.
    Press calibration button.

Make sure Step value is set to 10 (to increment in 100 feet steps).
"Wrap Values" check box should be clear,
if you do not want value to wrap when the high or low value is reached.

    Regards,
    Alan.

    Paolo,

    Previous message should state:

In FS2Phidget click on ENCODER component assigned to FLT_ALT.

    Regards,
    Alan.

    Alan,

    1) make me an example on as set low and high values to
get on both displays (phidget and pmsystems)
    the identical values please.

    2) about number positions:
the position of the numbers on phidget display
begin to increase from left to the right.
Numbers should increase from right to the left……

    regards
    Paolo

    Paolo,

Did those suggestions I sent you not work ?

Let us work with one device at a time.
    Starting with Phidget encoder.
Did you make settings to value range for FS Values FS_ALT and FS_LAND ?
Did you set Step value and Wrap setting for Encoder ?

Send me an email with a screen shot of FSVariable.exe displaying your FS_ALT settings to alan@coconutair.com

    Regards,
    Alan.

For the folks listening at home.
We got the the FltAlt and LndAlt on the pmSystems B737 overhead working with both Phidget Encoder and Phidet TextLED.

I made some tweaks to fs2Phidget and this will be available as on Beta download in near future.

Do not set the pressure altitudes less than zero. i.e. negative numbers for below sea level. pmSystems has minimum selectable value of 0 (zero).

To right justify displayed number on TextLED and to replace leading zeros with spaces:
Precede formatting on calibration screen with a ! (exclamation) symbol.
This is a handy formatting feature that I will include in future documentation.
    For example !#####"0"

Many thanks to Capt. Paolo Boroni for testing solution.

    Regards,
    Alan.
