    Servo Phidget .INI settings

    Alan,
    If i missed it in the docs i apologize but what will these 2 settings affect?

    RateThreshold=0
    Step=0.1

    I have the servo moving the throttle levers and am looking for smoother operation. Right now it is jerky in motion but moving in relation to the data from FS9. Is there a possibility to add a filter to the FS9 data. That way the movement would be smoother. In the real deal, 100% throttle to idle takes 15secs!
    Thanks,
    Rob

    Rob,

    On what screen do you see
    RateThreshold=0 and Step=0.1 ?

    Is that on the calibration or the FS Editor screen ?

    Regards,
    Alan.

    Rob,

    What version are you using ?
    Moved away from editing INI files directly with release 2 onwards.

    Regards,
    Alan.

    3.12, the latest and greatest? I manually did that to see if it changed anything.

    To be entirely accurate, 2.x was last version where one needed (or should) work directly with ini files.

    Becase I do not want to set a precedent I am going to decline providing support for editing ini files.

    Those two settings are not relevant for servos.

    I would suggest playing with the Refresh value.
    This deterimes how often software sends a position signal to the servo.
    Not sure what you mean by a filter.

    Might also drop Rob Howard a line.
    Hopefully, someone who has got their auto-throttles working will respond.
    To my knowldege there are builders out there who have smooth motion.
