    Couple Challenges - 3.11

    Evening,
Alan, first let me thank you for building and supporting FS2Phidgets. It was actually your software that was the deciding factor for the Phidget line of products! I am however, having a few challenges with the latest release and was hoping you can assist. In fact, I don't think I've been able to successfully get version 3 (beta & prod) working 100%. Version 2 worked like a charm.

    - On the main screen, FS2Phidgets won't display the Flight Sim values

    - Whenever I want to calabrate an LED through the GUI, I get "Runtime '380' Invalid Property Value" when moving the 'Max' slider. To make any changes, I have to manually configure it within the ini file

    - Finally, I haven't been able to migrate some of my setting (Phidget64) from version 2, to version 3. For example, the flap annunciators have given me a real challenge. Version 2 worked perfectly, but I'm unable to get it working in version 3. I've even manually entered the Phidgets64 settings into the version 3 ini, but still a no go. I even conducted a full uninstall and re-installation to ensure I didn't mess anything up when moving some of the files from 2 to 3.

Any help would be appreciated! Here are my version 2 entries that I can't seem to convert into the version 3 formatting. Thanks!

    Sweker,

Let me first try and understand what you are wanting to do:

You want LED to illuminate with constant brightness when flaps have a value between:

    (a) 409 and 16383
    (b) 4095 and 16383
    (c) 2048 and 4095
    (d) 409 and 2047
    (e) None of the above
    (f) All of the above

    Thanks,
    Alan.

    Talking

Sorry Alan, I should have been a bit clearer. The 'Output 12' example represents the 'LE Flaps Ext' annunciator, and the 'Output 14' example represents the 'LE Flaps Transit' annunciator on the B737. So... % = brightness

    Output 12
    100% from 409 to 2047
    0% from 2048 to 4094
    100% from 4095 to 16383

    Output 14
    100% from 1 to 408
    0% from 409 to 2046
    100% from 2048 to 4094

This will perfectly mimic the annunciator actions from the real aircraft. Again, it worked awesome for ver #2. Thanks!

    Sweker,

The folks at Coconut Airlines Maintenance have a fix for problems you reported.

    Send email to sweker@coconutair.com
You will be sent an interim version of software to check out.
Your name came up on the Test Pilot Duty Roster.

    Regards,
    Alan.

    Great news!
Fixes will be included in next release.

Also included in bext release will be ability to latch digital input and output.
Handy if you want to use standard TOGA function (or any other for that matter) with a momentary switch.
