    Thomas,

That's a great addition you wrote. Thanks!

I'm wondering about the "reality" of:

    > 2. If APU is running and Eng1 - N1>10 and Busselect2 not select on GEN1
    > -- "GEN 1/2 FAULT" indicate
    >
    > 3. If APU is running and Eng2 - N1>10 and Busselect2 not select on GEN2

    > on GEN1 or APUGen or GEN2
    > -- "Batt Dischasrge" and "GEN 1/2 FAULT" indicate

The reason I ask is that I *thought* the Busselect is only to indicate what

is being displayed in the meter. As a result, I'm wondering if a "GEN 1/2
FAULT" would indicate simply because you're not displaying the GEN in the
    meter.

    ???

    Warm regards,
    David

I agree. I did post a message earlier pointing out that the two rotary
selectors are only to select what is to be displayed above -- the left selector
for DC, the right for AC.

Sorry, I don't understand. What was a problem with it? The option is just
that, an option. It can be switched off, or, indeed, adjusted to give the
appropriate battery life. But of course it does not take into account the drain
on the battery. I understood pmSystems was going to handle this, but does
it yet? It will have to manipulate the battery voltage at offset 2834. If
that is allowed to get too low (less than about 17 volts for the default 737
    model), the battery is dead.

Okay ... how does this relate to the FAULT indications just because a
different selection is made for the meter display values? I must admit I am a
    little confused now.

    Pete

With "Problem" I mean Your FSUIPC is the best Addon I know. I use the option

"Batterylife" as long as it is there.
But then I started with GoFlight-Modules and I konfigured the switches to
switch ON FSMasterBattery and FSMasterAlternator and so on, all OK.
And then I started with PM-GC and now PM-System. And PM-System didn`t switch

the Alternator to ON, I could see it on
the LED from my GoFlight-T8, and THEN I had a Problem because Battery was
going to dead and MCP and other Modules switched OFF.
Apparently other Simmer dont use the option and there Battery will never
dead, because they all mast have the same problem, that the FSStarter is
going from Start (Pos-1) to GEN-OFF (Pos-0) and not to GEN-ON (Pos-2) after

    enginestart.

Now I changed the LOGIC correct (files from yesterday).
And the Meter Display is showing nothing like before, only STATIC Numbers,
nothing is read out from FS2004.
But I think this will change with Phase II or III, not important now.

Some correct readout numbers will show this:
But only to see what happend with fsbattery and fs alternator, was important

for me to understand some logic in PM-System.
    Insert in [Elements]
    showtext MainBusAmps,-123,84,8,00
    showtext TotalLoadAmps,-110,84,8,00
    showtext fsBattVolt,-123,76.3,8,00
    showtext APUGenHz,-95,84,8,000
    -----------------------------
MainBusAmps = Amps that Alternator is charging
TotalLoadAmps = Amps that FS actual use (depents of systems used)
showtext fsBattVolt = actual FSBattery Volts
    APUGenHz = AC APU Frec.
But this was only for tests!!

And Pete, your Software is the BEST, there is no Problem with it.
The problem is myself, every time some ideas and ...
Oh, and in Logic I insert 2 lines to have SMOKE above 75% N1, FS switch
    SmokeSystem on and off.

    Right.

But not useful in any case?

Yes, but doesn't that depend on whether the FS aircraft model is equipped for
smoke? I thought that was mainly for military display models?

    Thanks,

    Pete

I use the Smoke-system on all planes. In reality on take off the engines
work very rich, black smoke, and for this I use it.
    Thats for PMDG 737-700

    [SMOKESYSTEM]
    smoke.0= 40.0, -45.0, -20.0, cs727_dim
    smoke.1= 40.0, -40.0, 20.0, cs727_dim

    and for CRJ-200

    [SMOKESYSTEM]
    smoke.0=5.00, -24.00, -4.50, cs727_dim
    smoke.1=5.00, -24.00, 4.50, cs727_dim

The cs727_dim is in this case from Legendary 727 (Payware), but there are a

    lot of fx-files to use.

Oh, right. This is in the Aircraft.CFG file I assume?

How do you identify "smoke" ones? I'd never guess from a name like
    "cs727_dim"!

    This Smoke file is from:
    Legendary 727 v1.3\n(c) 2003 Captain Sim (PayWare 727)

The Smoke-files goes to fs2004\Effects folder.
    Here are some.

    Re: Avionics/BatteryLife-Lastone

    Hi Pete,
first problem off all was your FSUIPC-switch for Battery-Life.
I use it, because it is reality.
But PM-System does not support FS-Alternator in its logic. So I tried to
    find out the reasen.
Help for this I got from Your GREAT FSUIPC to show what happend with the
    Offsets.
Helpfull for this was also to show in PM-System with lights was happend and

also to play a little bit
    with the logic.
Now I changed this in the meter bag to normal.
The Alternators will now charge if GEN 1 or GEN 2 Switch select to on and
"GEN OFF BUS" lights are off.
    Like it should.
