    Virus-Warning Win10

Assuming your computer is not infected and you didn't get this file from another infected source, it should be fine as long as you trust JL (which we do) and his server is not hacked (which we hope!).

    Re: Virus-Warning Win10

Today I also received a virus warning, which put the starter.exe in quarantine.
Googling the file name showed it was a clear Trojan virus. Does the virus software only believe, it found that virus in context of the starter.exe, or is it in this case really on my PC?

I used AVG antivirus sofar and had no issues. But also set the FMGS folder as exception. Since changing from Win 7 to Win10 I thought I give the onbard Win Defender a chance (FMGS not as exception set so far) ...

    Re: Virus-Warning Win10

Because of the characteristics of the .exe and .dll files, Windows defender and most AntiVirus SW recognizes those Jeehell files as Viruses accidantially.
This is the case because those files want to access indeep system parameters of windows and other systemsoftware to enable the dataflow between FSX/P3D and FMGS-software via Simconnect etc. All those characteristcs are similar to those Viruses and other enemy agressors are look like. That´s the reason why your Antivirus recognizes them as Trojans etc.

So no problem at all, just mark the Jeehell files as friendly. Anyway it´s always better to be keeped informed by your AV and manually grant those files for being friendly instead of not getting noticed in case of a real hostile attack.

    Cheers
    Bernd
