    Crash (think I know the cause)

    Hello all,

    I had the program crashing quite often recently. After forcing a simconnect logfile to be created it appeared that the last line was allways containing an entry regarding the FAIB Airbus A320 IAE Sharklets/Winglets. Is any one else experiencing this?

    Unless a big coincidence I don't think it is repaint related, as it happened at several parts of the world, with for example Vueling, British Airways and Indigo.

    Otherwise Nico, can you send me the model you have installed?

    Best regards,

    Arjen

    Arjen,
    What program crashed? PSXseeconTraffic? If so, could you post the log file?

    Hi Nico, P3D actually.

    The last entry of the simconnect.log.

    This file is generated if you add a simconnect.ini in <documents>\Prepar3D v4 files directory

    I have it as follows:

    [SimConnect]
    level=Verbose
    console=No
    file=D:\Prepar3Dv4\Modules\SimConnect%01u.Log
    file_max_index=9

    PSXseeconTraffic then gives an error about requestacftinrange (typing might be slightly different). But the cause is simconnect.

    What I did is remove this model completely, ran vmrgenerator again and since then flawless.

    Cheers,

    Arjen

    Hi Arjen,
    So you think the cause is a problem with the model in P3D, and that makes PSXseeconTraffic generate a aircraftoutofrange Simconnect error?

    As soon as I have v4 installed I am gonna make a 64 bit version of PSXseeconTraffic that uses the latest 64 bit Simconnect version of v4. (At the moment we are still talking to the FSX Simconnect version for backwards compatibility).
    Maybe the problem goes away then...

    Re: Crash (think I know the cause)

    Hi Nico,

    Might well be a model issue, hence I was wondering if anyone else experienced this. P3D freezes. Only happens with the A320 winglets with IAE engines. The CFM, or any other A32x models are just fine.

    Best regards,

    Arjen
