    Servo recommendations

    Good evening,

I was planning to create some cockpit gauges by using some gauge software such as FsxPand but am interested in experimenting with making some servo gauges. I have had a look for servos and there are so many to choose from. I am guessing that I would need to explore different types as some will need a greater degree of travel than others. Would anybody mind sharing what they have tried or are using or what to avoid.
    Thanks in anticipation
    Marc

    Re: Servo recommendations

    Marc,
For all my gauges on our King Air sim I used these stepper motors, they are designed for the job and are very cheap http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/25x-Instru...AAAOSw~AVYv8n0

Thank you for the reply. What have you found to be the advantages/disadvantages to using steppers over servos other than the greater range of rotation?
