This is what I suspected. UNC pat hwon't work. I have to look into it, I think it's just a parsing issue but it won't work.
It's purely luck aerosoft DB works better for you. They either process the rawdata with FS data OR their provider has a different data than navigrpah which fits FS/P3D better...
But you will not get 100% good quality for the navdata anyway.

No, the UNC Path is not the Problem. I made 2 Shares with drive letter and it doesnt work.

    look here:

    *18:36:44*
    *18:36:44* -BGL scan:
    *18:36:44* -ScenerycfgPath:y:\
    *18:36:44* -FSroot:
    *18:36:44* -Folders Nb:0
    *18:38:41* -Monitoring:EDDM
*18:38:41* -Total ILS in FS for EDDM: 0
*18:38:41* -Total ILS in Navdata for EDDM: 4

OK, I have no idea what I can test too.

I copy my scenery.cfg local to fmgs Server and set a local path. But the result is the same.

I don't know how you are need the Path for FSX, what file(s) do you need?

    Re: A320 FMGS B47

    Hi JL,

    one idea I have tested.

I install FMGS Server on my FSX PC. But this doesn't work too.

    *19:47:15* -BGL scan:
    *19:47:15* -ScenerycfgPath:C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX
    *19:47:15* -FSroot:C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X
    *19:47:15* -Folders Nb:0
    *19:48:01* -Monitoring:EDDM
*19:48:01* -Total ILS in FS for EDDM: 0
*19:48:01* -Total ILS in Navdata for EDDM: 4

It seems, the Problem is not the scenery.cfg

I hope you have any idea

    What means "Folders Nb:0"

    Regards Dieter

    Re: A320 FMGS B47

I promise to test EKCH and YSSY.

YSSY is a stock Airport in my sim and on both Airports I have the same Problem.

I have now tested in fsscenery.cfg to set the path for FSX as: -FSroot:"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X" but this doesn't work too.

And the Screenshots from EDDM. If the ILS is on center, the Aircraft is on the left side.

Omni, is it possible you use the line "monitorARPT=EDDM" in your FSscenery.cfg and test with this?

Network drive is probably not working because Windows sandboxes the network drive between normal and admin sessions. You are normally running FMGS with admin rights so unless you created the netowrk driver with a batch file ran with admin rights, it won't work.
For now, the best is to have a local FSX copy and make sure you have correct paths in FSScenery (both for FS root and scenery.cfg).
Then, close down FSX (it may block access tothe files) and run the FMGS server with admin rights.

    Re: A320 FMGS B47

Regarding EDDM, I think some users had issues there.
Do you use the fixes made by Hervé Sors? This helps a lot (https://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids3.html I am talking of the ILS/RWY updates).

Any way, you will it worked mostly when
-Folders Nb: is different than 0
-Total ILS in FS for EDDM: is different than 0
    etc...

    Re: A320 FMGS B47

I corrected the UNC naming issue with the navdata module, it should work on next version.
Though I understand now why you say it's a long process... of course, accessing 1000 bgl files over the network is much slower than on the local hard drive.
Also, doing so is fine as long as your scenery is installed inside FSX folder. But this might not be the case with P3D new recommendations for addons etc... So I still do not recommend this kind of setup.

    Re: A320 FMGS B47

    Hi Jean Luc,

what a evening, 6 hours for generating navdata

OK, I have found the problem. The first error is from me. I forgot to write the file Name of the end from scenery.cfg path.
I have this error since my first install about for four years. Incredible

But you are right, UNC path doesn't work. If I use drive letter for the Network Shares all works fine.
I have tested any Airports and all ILS are OK.

At this moment, I think the Airac from Navigraph works.

And please please, can you check the Problem with UNC path. Network drive letter under Windows are a problem. They often disconnect, but UNC path works in all situations.

A little excitement from programmer to programmer. If you use an external file with your Software and it can't be found, give the user a message. It helps for dummys

    @Leonidas

You are right EKCH has an error in ILS. I use an older Payware Scenery for EKCH and i look with ADE in the BGL File.
The ILS is not in all directions in center.
What scenery for EKCH do you use?

    Thanks for all our help

    Regards Dieter

    Re: A320 FMGS B47

Aah OK, I don't see your post.

Yes with P3D it is not possible, but you have only one path for scenery.cfg.
Since P3D there are two files, or not?

I'm using the FSX and for scenery compatibility (I have 100 scenerys or so) I don't use P3D. But I know what you mean.

No the long process ist in another way. After deleting the BIN files I wait 3 Minutes and all is OK. But the FMGS Server has no Monitor and I use RDP, but this disconnects your Software from FSX. So I must restart the FMGS Server Computer to work with FSX.

And for me it is a great work from you, that FMGS Server can run on a Computer other than the FSX is installed. And in this situation I must use Network Shares for the navdata module.

Or do you have any other Suggestion?
