Re-Use Saitek Flight Radio 7 segment displays w/circuit board in new radio layout possible?

Im curious if its possible to borrow the old saitek 7 segments thats on their circuit board... I just need to know where to connect my cables haha =) See pictures ... so hard to try to find the spot for the D in, Clock and latch and volt and gnd..

Any Ideas where to jack in to borrow only the 4pcs of 7 segments and use in Arduino code in my radio stack project?
If i can connect here somehow, it would save me the hazzle to fit the new 7219 i bought, bc they are much smaller and also these fit perfect in this case...

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi

The Saitek actually uses the Arduino card to display the 7 segments. So you'd have to check the code itself.

You'd need to check what chip is used to control the 7 segment display.

You can program any pins for Din, Clock & latch if it's a Max7219 display chip.

    Hope this helps

Here you will find an entire thread, from when I rebuilt my saitek radio panel.
Maybe you'll find what you seek.

Been there, and you'll get there! I haven't published the details yet, but went down same course and built my own COM/NAV radios (and GPS, and switches, and, and, and) Here's the radio prototype. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bROOQ42Tfqs
