    Hello from Argentina

Hello I´m from Argentina, lover of flight simulators since Flight Simulator 3, newbbie on cockpit building, electronic and computer technician.
I want to start building a cessna cockpit, make and share all the instructions, plans, software for anyone who want to make your own cockpit as open hardware and open source.

Hello from Argentina too (Rio Cuarto, Cordoba). Where are you?
I´m building a Cessna 182RG with analog instruments, driven by opencockpits cards.Do you build your own electronic interfaces, or planning to use opencockpits, arduino u others?
Keep in touch (With PM for spanish).
    Regards.
    Horacio.

Good afternoon, JETRAID and hyamesto I'm build a cabin of the air plane Beechcraft Super King 350, and initially had thought of using opencockpit, but the ease of ARDUINO is amazing, for my part I can save many hours of research I already I carry in my case, I welcome your comments. HORNOS27

    Hornos27:

    Sorry for delay in answer.
You are using arduino with FS or X-plane, and what software interface (Lua Scripts, Mobiflight, link2fs for FS of Ardsim for X-Plane).
There is a new interface Arduino 2 Sioc from Peter Jongen, looks very interesting. I will make test as soon be possible.
    Keep in touch.
    Regards.
    Horacio.

    Saludos.

Good afternoon, I use Lua Scripts, Mobi Flight, link2fs for FSX, is that Argentina is a little complicated the attainment of imported parts, so we will be resourceful with what we have, Arduino and previous software is a great choice for this inconvenience, so let's begin to exchange information and together we finish our projects.

    Re: Hello from Argentina

    Hornos27.

Well, you know about the situation about political affairs in my country.
Now is changing, and some imported parts begin to be more accessible, like Arduino and shields.
There is no explanation why a single MAX7219 chip is more expensive than a shield with a 8x8 led matrix and PCB, including the MAX chip too.
I am using Opencockpits Cards (many types), but i found a new software to work with Opencockpits and Arduino, both connected by SIOC, called Arduino2SIOC, and FSIO Board, a replacement for the Mastercard, USBExpansion and DisplayII Cards, all in one board only.
    Take a look in:
    https://phpjj.wordpress.com/
I don´t like Link2Fs (cannot find a way to make run my Turn Coordinator ball Instrument)
Mobiflight (Nice, but some things like LCD are missing)
And Lua Scripts is like understand chinese language for me.
Short of time now, but in some days, i will begin test with Arduino2SIOC.
I'm very accustomed using SIOC, and i think this is the best method for complicated calculus.
No need to change inside Arduino scripts. All data are sent ready to arduino.
    Keep in touch.
    Regards.
    Horacio.

P.D.: JETRAID ? Are you here?

    https://phpjj.wordpress.com/

    Saludos.
    Horacio.
