    Button Push actions confused

    Hallo,

from time to time it happens, that one (or more) of my ARCAZE-USB Devices get lost in Windows. Then I have to clear the USB-Cache and restart the Computer.
Afterwards ususally everything runs fine again, but the mapping of the Joystick Buttons is confused: the window Joystick Switches shows wrong Button Push actions (meaning not the functions that I originally assigned).

Maybe the reason is, that FSX stores all ARCAZES with the same name and the temporary change within the arrangement of the USB-Joysticks relocates the stored functions to another Device.

It's a hard work to save all the functions to the appropriate buttons every time again!

Does anybody have the same situation and knows how to solve it!
    Thank you and best regards

    Guenter

    Re: Button Push actions confused

    Hi Guenter,

you are right, there is a Windows limitation which causes your problems. When one Arcaze gets lost - or when you add a device in the Arcaze Configurator - all assignments get mixed up ...

    Some questions:

    - what OS version do you run?
    - how many Arcazes do you use?
    - do you have active USB hubs for the Arcazes?

    Regards,
    Stephan

    Re: Button Push actions confused

    Hi Stephan, thank you
    - I am using Win 10-64 Bit
    - the Arcazes are all connected to USB-Hubs with power adapters.

I have 11 Arcaze boards in use and additionally some other USB-Controllers.
So in total I think that I am close to the limitations of windows.
But most of the time it runs well.

In the past I had set the input-offsets (Wilco) directly via the fsuipc-config (buttons/switches). And fsuipc has a protection for keeping the assignements in case of temporary loss of a Controller (AutoAssignLetters=Yes).

Is it possible to enter the JH-Offsets into the above mentioned fsuipc-window?
I was not able to do it: for example- Offset 78EE - Length (bytes) 1 byte - Function 51 (APU Bleed).
Could you tell me how to do?

I prefer doing it directly and not via LINDA (the more programs, the more problems..)

    Best regards
    Guenter
