    Psxseecon freezing

    Hi Nico,

I have noticed PSXseecon is freezing after 10-30 minutes running. Aerowinx is communicating with all other clients. OC is taking and receiving inputs and outputs.

Is it possible PSXseecon is running out of memory or bandwidth? My jumbo is a real one, all switches and ect are running through PSXseecon. Has the limit of data been exceeded?

    Cheers,

    Blake

That's not very likely, unless there would be a memory leak. All 2200 PSXseecon variables get instantiated in the initialisation phase of PSXseecon, and then only the ones you are using in your SIOC scripts remain, the rest will be erased. So the memory need is at the highest at the start, after that it needs much less memory (but you can check that your self with the Task Manager: see if the memory need graduallay becomes higher in time).

What version of PSXseecon are you using (latest is 2.0.3) ? What version of SIOC? Is there a clue in the PSXseecon.log file? Please post the log.file here.
When did this all start? I mean what were the last PSXseecon variables that you added to your scripts?

Here you will find a version 2.0.4 with all tracing on. This will generate a lot of information in the .log file, but it might give a clue where it was when it freezes.

    Regards,
    Nico

    Re: Psxseecon freezing

    Hi Nico,

I noticed on initial load up the memory is 2035k. If there is a freezes, inputs and outputs to and from opencockpit frozen. Psxseecon memory is up to 2070-4000k.

I also seen err 100, sent data 10035, but not on all freezes

    Cheers,

    Blake

I think it will be difficult to determine the initlal load because the creation and removal of PSXseecon variables takes place (at the start) in millisecs...
However, 4M is not a big deal these days...

10035 means (TCP/IP) "operation would block"

Could you please answer the questions from my prevous post and post or sent me the .loig file (via WeTransfer)?

Lastest variables updates was the emergency panel.

Additionally added all the lighting turn knobs.

    Don't remember the problem before

    Sioc version 5.0b5
    lastest PSXSEECON
    lastest aerowinx

    Re: Psxseecon freezing

The one above went up to 15,000-16,000k memory and counting up when I looked at task manager at PSXseecon. Seem to be able to run for 10-30 minutes then freezes.

Everything point to connected (looks connected, no error or closures) but aerowinx is moveable by mouse e.g. bleed air 1 korry switch.
If you toggle the bleed air switch hardware a change can be seen in OC as my ON light is internal OC. e.g. logic switch on light on. But doesn't follow through to PSX. The link has been cut, with no obvious sign. Except when you move hardware nothing happens.

    Re: Psxseecon freezing

When all working well the memory is stable around 1600-1900k. After 10-30 counts up to 2700k connection cut keeps count up to 15000k and to beyond.

    Re: Psxseecon freezing

15000k and count up was during fatal damage (aircraft crash) remember when aircraft crashes PSX goes to a automatic tick-box all freeze

    Re: Psxseecon freezing

    Hi Kiek,

Done some more troubleshooting appears if you decrease the ad frequency to 1 compared to the standard 10 in OC the psxseecon memory increase faster in the task bar. It's stable for 10-30 minutes then rapidly increases and does all the above. Obviously higher rate changes are sent from OC to psxseecon to aerowinx with ad freq 1. Is there a buffer increase that can be made I think I have the issue because I have so many variables. Maybe I should run 2 psxseecon and 2 OC to reduce the traffic unless you can do something.

    Please help it's so frustrating

    Cheers,

    blake
