    Opencockpits' EFIS for Level-D 767

    Hi Nico,

    How are you.
I just purchased an EFIS from Opencockpits, but I just couldn't get it to work with Level-D 767. The Tech sport of Opencockpits couldn't seem to help me and they suggest that I should contact you for help. I really appreciate your time.

I am using FS2004 with FSUIPC registered version 3.99 on Windows XP, so I'm supposed to download the setup_lekseecon_v 8.4.

What I actually did is as below:

    1. I plugged in the EFIS via USB, and I ran the EFIS test. exe, the module works fine.

    2. I installed the Sioc 5.1b2 from Opencockpits.

    3. I installed the lekseecon_f.exe, for I'm running FS2004 with FSUIPC(registered)on Windows XP.

    4. I created a lekseecon_f.ini with vars according to the lekseecon manual.

And then, I did the following process according to the lekseecon manual:

    1. I ran the FS2004 and selected a Level-D 767 flight.

    2. I ran the sioc

    3. I ran the lekseecon_f

But I couldn't get the EFIS to work in Level-D 767.

I know I might have got the whole thing wrong. But how can I get it to work properly?

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Jason

Re: Opencockpits' EFIS for Level-D 767

    Hi Jason,

Unfortunately my PNPscripts for OC modules only work out of the box with lekseecon for SIOC and my setup program.
So you have to do some configuration work manually:

What SIOC script are you using for the EFIS module? And did you add the EFIS module to sioc.ini?
This script (from lekseecon for SIOC) should also work for you I Think ..., but you have to add all the lekseecon variables to lekseecon_f.ini.

    Code:

Re: Opencockpits' EFIS for Level-D 767

    Hi Nico,

    Thanks for your quick reply.

Since I'm pretty new to such as SIOC, etc., I apologize if I ask very simple or even stupid questions here.

    1. I don't have any script for the EFIS module.

    2. When you say add the EFIS module to sioc.ini, do you mean to copy and paste the script you provided here to the sioc.ini?

    Thanks much.

    Jason

    Hi Jason,
Well, then you have to study OC Manuals a bit, I'm afraid.

You need a SIOC script for the EFIS module, try the one I have posted.

    No, not the script itself.
You compile the script, say you name it EFIS.txt, with config_sioc.exe, into an EFIS.ssi file and then you add the name of that .ssi file as CONFIG_FILE parameter in sioc.ini, like this:

    CONFIG_FILE=EFIS.ssi

And you have to add the following statement to the [MASTERS] section of sioc.ini:

    MASTER=1,7,1,??
Change the ?? into the Device Number given to the EFIS module at your PC by SIOC (You can find that in SIOC main window, devices subwindow).

    Good Luck,
    Nico

    Hi Nico,

Thanks so much for your reply. I've been trying to make sense of everything here and I think I'm getting there. ; )

As you said to add the name and statement to the .ssi file, the .ssi I found in the Sioc folder is like the one below. But where should I add them?

    Appreciate it.
