    arduino for lcdmodule?

    Ok Dear people here.

    i have a question.
what would i need to get a lcd module. to show:
    nav1:nav1 <> nav1:nav1
    nav2:nav2 <> nav2:nav2
    com1:com1 <> com1:com1
    com2:com2 <>com2:com2

and 2x hold a dual rotary encoder. whit a included pushbutton!

what would it require? and is it hard to setup?
would someone be able to advise me along the road?

note: this is a inquiry topic as it depends on howmany poorts im short on my 2 other i/o cards.
maybe this is a cheaper/easier solution then my lua pokey control of lcd

Great project. Are you thinking 20x4 LCD module or 7" LCD display? Only 2x dual rotary encoders?

    Re: arduino for lcdmodule?

ok this is my current setup ideas.

i have 1 teensy lc, 26 buttons going.
i have 1 pokey56u running, whit my lcd screen.

i am in need for a other teensy, however if the arduino is capable of taking over my dual rotary (these include a tact switch in them )encoders + lcd 20x4 module. i am more intrest in opening slots on the pokey by transfering these to arduino.

also is it posseble to add a toggle switch in the mix for:
"if toggle in posision 1" rotary encoder 1 works on nav1 rotary encoder 2 works on com1
"if toggle in position 2" rotary encoder 1 works on nav2 rotary encoder 2 works on xpdir

would u be able to help me out a bit?
i would be ever so grateful for all wisdom, u would help me whit.

Are you running FSX or X-Plane? I'll put more in a personal message.
