    problem with pots and bodnar

Hi, i am struggling to make my wire pots work. I have them connected correctly to bodnar board but they dont show up or if one does they are super jumpy and the signal is all over the place. I cant get more than one to show up at a time. These are string pots from http://www.celesco.com/stringpots/ they are the SM1 series with solder points. I then unhooked my string pots and used just a regular turn pot and after i correctly calibrated it. It seemed to work just fine. If anyone can help that would be great!

    Hi,
Just make sure if you have a long wire run that you use shielded cable.
Have you tried wiring it with short leads to the Bodnar board?.
Some times it helps to show us a pic of it connected up.
It is only a fancy pot so should work like a standard one if connected correctly.

This is a very good outcome then.
When you said wiring is correct, I had a feeling it might be something to do with
the required ADC impendance . Well, fortunately it was not and it means – those position sensors are all right to be used with Leo Bodnars.
