Question FSX, Arduino, Link2fs and Offset 313C (Tail Number)

    Hi,

I'm discovering Arduino board and all its amazing possibilities ... I have ond LCD display (16 columns, 2 rows). I would like to print my Tail Number (something like LFOD-77) on the first row.

Using Link2FS to read offset 313C, but I receive a number that I don't know how to handle ... This offset is a string, but it seems that Link2FS doesn't provide "string" options under Expert's Fsuipc tabs ...

Is it another mistake of mine ?

    May someone help me ?

    Have a great day.

If you read it as a byte, it does indeed return the ascii value of the tail number. 313c = 78, 313d = 55, 313e = 51, 55,87,0 for the default N737W. Not sure how to read it in though

Re: FSX, Arduino, Link2fs and Offset 313C (Tail Number)

    @ Heywoodp :

    Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately it doesn't work as it should (or as i understood ) :

For this aircraft tail number (FSX cessna default) N760PL :

    I get these values :

    313c - 78 - N
    313d - 55 - 7
    313e - 54 - 6
    313f - 48 - 0
    3141 - 76 - P
    3142 - 48 - 0

So, no matter what is the tail number : Offset 3142 is 0 (zero) as a terminator ... indeed the tail number is not complete ...

Re: FSX, Arduino, Link2fs and Offset 313C (Tail Number)

Just tried with my Cessna Default. Tail Number is G-BAFM. This read ok including the last 0. Tried G-FOXTROT as a test, inputing the tail number in the advanced section of "change aircraft". This took G-FOXTRO. when I read 313c etc it all read Ok.

    Paul,

Did you used Link2FS to read these offsets, or was it an LUA script ? I will post some pictures tonight to show Link2FS config and results.

    Paul,

It seems there were one mistake in offsets. I will test later and tell you if it's ok.
