Aircraft Cockpit trimmings - Would you want?
Hi All,
I'm looking for cheap(ish) cockpit trim for my A320 and can only find really expensive stuff, so I wonder, would anybody be interested in a range of cheap(ish) plastic moldings in the style of Airbus/Boeing?
I'm thinking of
1) Left side window down to the joystick level including the handrail and cup holder, forward to the front left strut. (and ofc the FO side in mirror)
2) Front three window frames including middle struct - to interlock with side panels.
So essentially three pieces that would complete the cockpit with a **** of a lot less work than trying to make all the detail manually.. Being plastic they would be cuttable so they could be tailored to your build.
Just putting it out there as an idea so please let me know your thoughts, and certainly please let me know if there is anyone else already doing this.

Re: Aircraft Cockpit trimmings - Would you want?
Edward, if you can create plastic molds and make the trim, or know someone that can at a reasonable rate, please let me know
Flybycockpit was going to make trims (and a sidestick) but I've given up on them. I waited for over a year, and now they don't communicate by e-mail. Its a pity because their 737 interior liners look pretty good too (there is even one on sale in the classified session).Soarbywire - Airbus Flight Simulation and Engineering | Jeehell FMGS - Free professional A320 avionics software for the cockpit enthusiast.

Re: Aircraft Cockpit trimmings - Would you want?
Omni, I'm in China, I can get anything made! I'm waiting for service manuals for dimensions and I'll start talking to people here. If you know where I can get dimension information please let me know as my source has proved a bit unreliable.

Re: Aircraft Cockpit trimmings - Would you want?
Hi Edward from Beijing, sorry for the off topic, but if you can get some dual concentric shaft rotary encoders made there in China and sold for reasonable price, that would be just great. Those encoders are of the highest demand within cockpit building and other electronics building community.

It might be a good idea to dedicate a topic about what cockpit stuff’s can be made in China.

Re: Aircraft Cockpit trimmings - Would you want?
Hi Trakon, I'm sure I could but low volume wouldn't be any cheaper. Next time I'm at the electronics supermarket i'll have an ask around and see what I can find though. Things like this would have to be made in the many thousands.
Have you asked Skalarki-electronics.eu if they can provide at any lower cost?

Re: Aircraft Cockpit trimmings - Would you want?
Omni, I've sent you three messages but none of them are appearing in my sent items box, so I'm assuming you didn't get them?

Not yet, but i am going to ask them. Cheapest option so far is offered by VRinsight ( $11 for dual shaft Alps Encoder ) . Unfortunately, the shipping to Europe comes to a significant price.
