    PoKeys confuses me :(

Hi All...started to build a cockpit..and bought the poKeys 56...downloaded the software etc..tried to wade through the manual..but jeez....I can't fathom it out at all!

I wired up a simple On/Off switch onto it (should be relatively easy?)...opened up the software....and got utterly befuddled!

Surely, if all the thing needs to do, is make an On/Off switch work... I must be as thick as a brick. It's easy enough to do on a Joystick or yoke.

I assume it's designed for much more complex jobs than an On/Off switch...but would be so nice to just be able to get even one damn switch working

Are there any easier cards to use?

You can access it directly in FSUIPC with the correct libraries (which I have not done), but if you use Prosim737, for example, it has PoKey drivers built right in and you can quickly assign and use switches in mere minutes. It is really dependent on your driver software. This really goes for any hardware interface card but overall the Pokeys card is really great for the money.
Also, you can set it up to process analog axis' as direct input or as a joystick emulator too. Other things like matrix keyboard encoder, display driver, etc, are available with it.

That's well worth exploring further (FSUIPC) as I have the full version. Thanks Dave

    Hi
There is easy solution for sim interfacing with Pokeys, but you have to use the Ethernet Pokeys version , i order to have free FsSymphony soft support.
Usb Pokeys version is not supported by this soft
