    The Sperry ADI's have a runway symbol that rises out of the bottom of the display to give you a reference for an ILS approach. Similar in concept to a HUD symbology but done in the 70's mechanical way. lol It actually moves left and right and up and down to give you guidance. Kind of cool old tech stuff. I'll try and post a pic of it.

    The runway shown here in ADI test mode is halfway up to the horizon bar. It also moves left and right.

    Now that is cool, I had no idea. As I recall, my ADIs have a "RUNWAY" flag, so I assume that means I have the indicator. One more cool thing to interface...I love it.
