Re: link2fs doesn't see fsx steam edition

I have one flight sim PC where link2fs conncets to simconnect
    Windows 10
    LUA is disabled
    FSX-STEAM with many add-ons
all 4 simconnect versions are installed

I have a game laptop with
    windows 10
    LUA is disabled
    FSX-STEAM is installed w/o any add-ons
all 4 simconnect versions are installed

but link2fs cannot connect to simconnect (FSX is not running error)

I am stuck and can not find any reason for this.

Re: link2fs doesn't see fsx steam edition

Hi all. I too had the 'Fsx is not running', and tried all of the steps on the first page. So, time to treat myself to a new SSD!
Will link2FS be ok on another drive than (some of) fsx? Say link2fs, steam and fsx are on E drive, and OS on C drive. I ask as the simconnect will be on the C drive, as will the reg. Will this matter?
Or should I just whack the new OS,steam, fsx Link onto the same SSD.
Nothing else will be on the pc, other than essentials, such as ethernet install etc.
    Many thanks all

    EDIT:
Well, new OS installed, and... all working! Link2fs eventually found the card (arduino mega 'clone' via ebay) and all working on FSX-SE on windows 8.1. Have to say, (perhaps everyone feels like this the first time?), what a cool feeling it was to see info on the lcd and information going to and from. Really cool.
Obviously this isn't the best solution for most people. I have a stand alone pc for fsx, so a clean OS install was easy as I had no other files I'd miss.

The problem is, that Steam Edition won't work properly with FSUIPC, when you have the "normal" FSX installed. I've had the same problem, before I did a reset of my laptop.
