    Lightbulb Altimeter conversion

Is there anyone who has experience with converting a altimeter for use in FSX? I have bought a deffekt altimeter and wonder if I should try with servo or stepper motor with gear, to replace the diaphragm.
It is to move the shaft which serves the clockwork. See picture.
