    Altitude constraints issue

    Hi guys,

im having a few issues with altitude and speed constraints.

I've just completed a flight to Oslo, and on the STAR, the aircraft seemed to ignore the altitude constraints in place for the approach.

Now my understanding is that the aircraft in managed mode will hit the constraints as written, or at least try. To aid with this, the ND and MCDU indicate if you're going to hit a constraint with a magneta star on the MCDU and a magenta circle around the waypoint on the ND. Approaching Oslo, I found a constraint listed as -FL120, ringed with a magenta circle, indicating the aircraft expected to hit this constraint. The MCDU however predicted I'd arrive at the waypoint 3100 feet above, yet still happily telling me I'd make the constraint. The next constraint, a hard Fl90 constraint also showed I'd arrive to high but still indicating I'd hit the constraint.

So am I doing wrong here or is this an error?

System set up: pc1 p3d, Fmgs server, sound, hardware connect, navdata.
pc2. Capt pfd, nd, ecam, asn
    pc3. Overhead logic, fcu, MCDU

    Re: Altitude constraints issue

    Hello Jess,

The VNAV is the critical part of the airbus software, this is still work in progress and some errors/inconsistencies may/will occur...

    Regards,

Understood Jean Luc, manage the constraints yourself and fly the aircraft.
