    Re: A320 FMGS B36

Been away from the sim for a couple of months due other projects, but have just got back in and upgraded.

All seems good as it upgraded from 34.1 to 36.3 ok. the only thing I noticed, and it happened to all 3 computers in the sim, was that around installing 9/10 of the files, it stalled and I had to retry a couple of times, but it seemed to finish the upgrades as far as I can tell.

The main problem is that the button that turns on the Master APU does not function, both on my buttons and on the overhead buttons in the program. All overhead buttons seem to work ok.

Perhaps you might have a quick look and see if there is a problem or was the problem due to the upgrade delay of some kind.

    Kind regards..............Brian W.

    Re: A320 FMGS B36

On second thought it would seem to be in the upgrade, else everyone would not be able to start their engines !

It just seemed weird that the upgrade stalled on 3 occasions, so maybe we should see if there is a way to re-do that part.

    Re: A320 FMGS B36

    Thank you JL.
    Ok will do.

Do I need to just do an un-install and then run 36.3 or do I need to save the cfg's etc and delete everything before I run 36.3 ??

    Many thanks................Brian W.

Just install over the prvious installation, all config files are saved.
You will only have to re configure the axis (there were some issues there, due to file format changes).

    Re: A320 FMGS B36

    Hi JL,
i have copied the navdate folder from the server to the remote pc, but unfortunately it makes no change, after several seconds the connection is lost. I have no error messages on the widfmgsserver (no Fpln OnError), all ports are connected.

I have unistalled all fmgs software from both pcs. reinstalled the latest here provided version and then upgraded both computers then again copied the navdata folder but with no change

the interesting thing is that although the connection is down, the remote pcs modules seem to recive informations - if I set a new altitude on the fcu bevore the init phase of the mcdu, the mcdu (on the remote pc) says that a new cruise alt is set. but i cannot delet that message, the keys are dead. same with the pfd and nd: i can change the modes on the fcu connected to the server pc and this is shown on the nd of the remote pc. it seems as if the connection is only in one direction.

I even tried to switch off firewalls, no change.

Then I have tried something different: I disabeled the ovhd on the remote pc and activated it on a second monitor on the fsx pc.

Unfortunately nothing changed but a new thing:

The peroformance of the second display (mouse moves) where the overhead is is very poor. this is only when the fsx is connected to the server. when i start the fmgs or the overhead without fsx running, the performance is normal. also when the overhead is not running but fsx. this was also not before the b36.3

    Regards
    Markus

What was the last version you used without issues?
Have you recalibrated the anaalog axis since then? (even if they were still present?)
