Connecting a laptop to an external GPU to run FMGS modules

I'm in the market for a new Apple laptop.

Instead of purchasing off-the shelf parts and setup a new computer to run the flight simulator, I was looking for a 'plug macbook into flight simulator' solution when needed. The macbook in Bootcamp mode will run the SD/PFD/EICAM monitors.

Behold, I found this video --

Re: Connecting a laptop to an external GPU to run FMGS modules

On further reading it seems the chassis is extremely expensive and over $900 ! https://secure1.sonnettech.com/produ...roducts_id=486

It would be more budget friendly to setup a second system.

Does anyone know if FMGS is more GPU, or CPU intensive? Does it work well with the combination AMD A10 graphics + cpu chip?

    Thank you.
