Where to start projectors curved screen project ?

    Hi there,

I'm new registered on this forum, a friend gave me this adress. I used to have a 3*27" (1920*1080*3) configurations but I stopped because of deformation of objects on the side which was really unconfortable on planes sims and Battlefield. I have now a LG34UM95 which is really awesome.

I essentially play to Battlefield and DCS World and I started to think about this project seeing this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWm9PtzWvko, it's really awesome.

I have the luck to have a room for playing (and a nice wife for let me play ), but I would like to know where to start the project ? Budget is not the first point.

I can do the screen myself with wood or metal and isorel, I have a 3.6m (12feets) side room.

Do I have to make a circular or parabolic screen ? which radius ? 2 or 3 projectors ? I don't know the beginning because possibilities are limitless.

    Thanks for your help !

I would make a tutorial with this project for other people. I would probably post this on sims forum.

    Hi Dureiken,

I am at the same point you were when you first posted here. I would like to build a curved screen to achieve a 180 deg field of view, powered by two short throw projectors. Like you, budget is not a huge problem but I am a bit lost as to how to start. I wonder if you ever got your project 'off the ground'? I am a carpenter by trade and have friends who work in metal engineering, but I first need some help on how to plan the dimensions of the screen. Any help greatly appreciated!!!!

Exclamation Help.. How to set up Wideview for Prepar3d v3

    Hello!

Can someone help me? I'm trying to set up my 180degrees curved screen for my Prepar3d v3 using 3 Benq MX618ST projectors , 2 Asus 27" monitors for the panels (Air Manager) , and one CPU w/ Graphics Card of (GTX 1080).

I dont know how/where to put the command in Prepar3d so that I can have a 180 degrees FOV. been trying to apply the WindowMaker tool but it distorted the view instead hehe. I've read that you can also use nvidia surround can someone teach me how? hehe.

I also have a Immersive display pro software for the alignment and the blending of the screen view.. need also help how to use it hehe..

    Thank you and GODBLESS!!
