    Smile Rotary problem

    Hello.
    First of all thank you for the excellent LINK2FS_Multi_FSX program.

    - I have a problem with the rotary switch that only read from two in two detentes.
    I have searched the forums but can not find the solution to read every one.
    This is a problem with this rotary, becauseI have one other different and woks fine.
    How can fix this problem?

    - Where can I find the images tha you use to build the proteus/isis schema file?
    I can't find the lcd, rotarys, contrast and push button images.

    Thaks to everyone

    This is a DYI situation. You can do more with a rotary encoder when you know the basic theory and construction. Use the web to distinguish amungst the three (?) flavours of rotary encoder. Wire up a LED on each channel and monitor the sequence that the contacts make and break. You may have two different working encoders and a decoder for only one. Or like me, you may have purchased an encoder that "fell off a truck" on the way to the crusher. The encoder looks good, feels nice but the allignment of the detents to the contact disc is a little off for 50% of the rotation.

    Re: Rotary problem

    Thanks for your answer BushPilotWannabe,
    I'm using a Dual concentric rotary encoder with pushbutton ELMA E37 from "leobodnar.com" and the Quadrature library.
    I found the solution in this thread.
    http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/show...t=23041&page=2

    Just have to change:

    " long X1 =(quad1.position())/2; " to
    " long X1 =(quad1.position()); "

    Thank you.
