    trying to understand information variable

I am trying to understand the information variable. In particular, I want to set up a rotary button so as to control EHS mode and Map range:

    801 Capt Range: 0=10, 1=20, 3=40, 3=80, 4=160, 5=320
    802 Capt Mode: 1=FILS, 2=FVOR, 3=EXP VOR, 4=EXP ILS, 5=MAP, 6=PLAN

801 and 802 are information variables. Does this mean they cannot be used to to control the simulated 767 by a hardware rotary knob?

    Best regards,
    Holger

    Hi
You have to use the control variables for that.
Look in the same section for the ones indicated in green.
From my heart they start with 457....

    Cheers
    Nico
    Please study the manual carefully.

Re: trying to understand information variable

Thank you very much, this works. Is there any setting you recommend for FSUIPC's "control sent when button pressed"? I have used "Offset Word Set" for 457, ... And "1" for Parameter. "No action" for "Control sent when main key released".

    Best regards,
    Holger

Re: trying to understand information variable

    Hi Holger,
Var 457 is at Byte offset 0x91c9.
So you have to use FSUIPC control Offset Byte Set.
    Please study the Manual.
    Cheers,
    Nico
