    multiplexer/demultiplexer for led or sw with Arduino

    Hi, i have four HEF4067BP and i'm looking for a little hand for interfacing it with arduino.
    My problem is only for expand the Arduino Mega inputs for add some switch's.
    From 4 to 16 inputs.
    Thanks at all for information about compiling a sketch!

    I have library and simple example for multiplexing or demultiplexing analog and digital signals with the 4067, i've uploaded here.
    But my little problem is the code update for trasmit the state of single input to linkfs like a single sw on single input of arduino.

    Here is a tutorial for the 23017 which is also a 16 channel I/O expander so it should be similar to the 4067.

    This MCP23017 is an integrated based on i2c bus. The hef4067 is ANALOG mux/demux!.

    Pardon my asking, but why do you want to use the HEF4067 to add switch inputs to your Arduino?

    I haven't seen anyone use these before, whereas the Arduinos natively communicate with the i2c bus, the 23017 and similar I/O expanders are commonly used and very inexpensive. It's entirely possible that no one in this community has sufficient experience with the 4067 to offer you any specific assistance.

    you are right regarding your solution, quite right, but the problem was simply that I was in possession of some integrated and wanted to use them.
    With regard to the i2c bus, I seem to have found latencies in communicating with link2fs so I wanted to go for an analogue solution.

    Have you thought about using a Mini Pro? Right now working on a modified Multi-Radio project - Jim's 7 position rotary switch and 8 pushbuttons in autopilot configuration. Fifteen wires in and four out. With minor changes the sketch will be ammended to interface 15 of 16 switches of FSX C172 airframe switch panel. All 16 may be available. You could parallel outputs from the Multi-Radio and airframe panel into blocking diodes and when the second Mini Pro supplies the output a fifth data output line would give code binary 0000 to binary 1111 switches #1 to #31. Using analog inputs on the receiving board should compensate for the .7V drop.

    Would be finished now if I didn't keep smoking inputs. There were three free pins available just have to juggle connections to the wiring harness.
