    Opencockpits MCP V3

    Hi Nico,
And thank you for your fantastic Lekseecon program. It's a goldmine!

I have just installed my new MCP-V3 in my 767-homecockpit and I have some thoughts and questions.

    1. The MCP starts with the mach dot on in the IAS/MACH window. Can that be changed?

    2. When I push HDG Hold on the HDG rotary the HED SEL led comes on. Can that be changed so the led comes on when HDG SEL is pressed?

    3. When I pressed CWS A for an ILS BCRS i got "WHEL WELL FIRE" warning.

In your 3.3_MCP737v3_ExtaButton.txt file I read:
// new ALT INTV button used here as BCRS button
    // CWS A: Lights Test

Your OCM Manual for MCP V3 says:
    - Lights test with the new ALT INTV push button
    - BCRS implemented via CWS A

Is it possible to have the functions as in the OCM Manual?

All for now and kind regards,
    Hakan

Fixed. Please download the new 3.3_MCP737v3_ExtaButton.txt file from here and overwrite the old one.

I'll look into the other issues later.

    Regards,
    Nico

    Hello Nico,
That was fast. I've tested the file and it works perfect. I'll wait for the rest.

I have to give you "five" for the Voice Activated Commands (VAC). It's great to give orders to cabin an ground via voice. It's more realistic.

    Thank you and regards,
    Hakan

No it cannot I'm afraid, while the Level-D 767 has no HDG SEL led ... (so that signal is missing in the SDK)

What you could do is to make the HDG SEL button HDG HOLD (just put a sticker at the MCP ) and the push button in the shaft the HDG SEL function. You can get this behaviour by changing the two lines about vars 283 and 284 in the 3.3_MCP737v3_ExtaButton.txt file into:

Var 284 Static Link IOCARD_SW Device 2 Input 34 type P // hdg select (push button in shaft of HDG rotary)
Var 283 Static Link IOCARD_SW Device 2 Input 28 Type P // hdg hold button (the button labeled HDG SEL at a 737 MCP)

If you are happy with it I can make it the default behaviour, and I'll change the OCM Manual about it.

    Regards,
    Nico

    Re: Opencockpits MCP V3

It is not necessary to do anything. I'll just disconnect the led. The primary info about the HDG HOLD and HDG SEL is shown in the EADI. It is secondary on the MCP.

Thank you for your support and regards,
    Hakan
