    A programmer question to Jim

    Hi Jim,
I would like to develop a program which controls PMDG's autopilot functions. It has several functions independently FSX or FS9 as you know. I see yours and figured out that yours doesn't control autopilot commands like ALT, SPD reading or writing because offsets are different than default FS planes. I would like to work on your program if you let me do like reverse engineering. Can you share Link2FS program codes with me?
    Thanks.

Re: A programmer question to Jim

Hi qriss ,, the "problem" with "hi-end" add-on's should be over shortly as I have added 2 pages into the FSX Multi, where the user (if he has FSUIPC) can add any offset he likes and it will work the same as the rest of my program does.

For the Guys that don't have FSUIPC there is also another 2 pages where he can do the same with default SimConnect variables or events.

The above 4 pages are already done and working fine.

    As for code sharing ,, while I'm currently developing a project ,, I don't share it's code.

    Cheers ,,, Jim

Re: A programmer question to Jim

Sorry quiss, you mis-understood ,, my fault as I never spelt it out very clear.

I was talking about the version I'm working on at the moment (FSX Multi verion 6) which hasn't been released yet.
Version 6 will have a whole lot more stuff in it compared to the version 5's.

There are so many changes and improvements still to do, it will be a month or so before it is released.
I don't want to rush this as I see it as a major step forward.

The presently released version 5 does not have the above mentioned pages.

In the meantime keep your eye on this thread ,,,

Re: A programmer question to Jim

    Thank you so much Jim
I got it now, thanks for your quick responses, Also as i said before, I'm a program developer and generally i used PIC. I bored. Because, Everytime I had to make boards and solder them. Today, I heard that Arduino can be used as HID device. I will use it. There is another beautiful interface software with named of LINDA. It can work with FSUIPC and PMDG. It is also programmable with its integrated lua editor. So if you can't find which you want in it's lists so you can easily modify what you needed. But it just writes datas. You can't read datas like Altimeter or Com Frequencies.
I will wait your good news. Thank you very much for Link2Fs.You are the best.

    Jim,

That is great news as FSUIPC will do sooooooooo much, and is pretty much the standard for third party aircraft developers!

I am very excited about this news!
