    737 cockpit shell /sketchup /cad files

Hi all been searching all over for a 737 cockpit shell , in sketchup or cad files format , im making one out of wood and mdf , now i know there is the fds
one ,and some people have copied dimensions and made there own from this , but trying to get those dimensions in a sketchup or cad file is beyond me .

im not the greatest of woodworkers but i have built my mip using this method and to quite good i think ,

so just wondering if anyone has such a file they would part with .

    many thanks

    Re: 737 cockpit shell /sketchup /cad files

    Hi,

I actually know the author of the above drawing, and it appears to be an old revision which has been changed now, the drawing is a solid works file and not a sketchup file, also it looks like the author of the work is active on a german flight sim forum and doesnt give the drawings out to just anyone. It looks like this guy has spent too many hours designing the cockpit just to give it out to strangers or upload it publically for just anyone to obtain!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

Not really the case, if you check the file libary section of mycockpit you will notice that people have shared roughly 400 files to the community, its just that this one particular thing has caught your eye and you're not happy because you cant have it! People do share, the file libary proves it, and also the author does share his drawings, just not on this forum, he's a member of another forum, that's all. Sorry if I sound blunt, but to say people don't share is absolute rubbish. This forum proves it!

    Re: 737 cockpit shell /sketchup /cad files

Yer I think i have seen him on the other forum , and I think I have contacted him but nothing back ,
and ive tried the german one but no response .

And what I meant by nobody wants to share in this community wasn't put right
it should have said nobody wants to share this file in this community .
which I think is a shame.

Dont worry about the being blunt bit im a big boy and can take it !

    Happy Days

    regards

    Neil
