    Kenfly uk

Hello all, i am new to this forum.
I am building a 737ng mip. Just made a gear lever with micro switches. I am just learning about leds and wiring.
I need to see a wiring diagram connecting 6 red leds and 3 green leds to switches, and to a Bodnar card.

    Need help please,

    Thanks, Kenfly.

    Hi Kenfly,
    welcome to the forum,
The phidgets LED64ADV card is the best card for LEDs to be interfaced with flight sim.

    All the best,

    All the best,

    Thanks Geremy for your reply.

I am trying to keep costs down, lots of things to bye. The bodnar card is half the price.
All I wanted at the moment was a diagram of wiring .

Thanks again Kenfly. Hope I am doing this reply right.

You cant wire up LEDs to a Bodnar Card, you cannot send signals from them to make LED's light up as the Bodnar card is an INPUT card and not an OUTPUT card.

You need to buy an LED card, maybe Arduino or something, but a Bodnar Card wont do it i'm afraid.

Gez was just suggesting a good LED card.

Just wire your red leds to the micro switch with a battery and resistor, and do the same for the green led's, so that when you flip the switch either way, the lever pushes the micro switch arm and turns on the LED

Or you program the LED's (for greater realism, delay etc) by using an LED card but you will need to script it.

    You choose how its done!

...Or... insert your gear lever arm over the toggle paddle/arm of a SPDT toggle switch using a little epoxy glue. One of the throws from the toggle will be your red led circuit and the other throw will be your green LED circuit. Your micro switches then can be for your 'Gear Up' and 'Gear Down' which will be connected to an individual channel (2ch in total) on your leo bodnar card. I think this was how I made my gear lever some considerable time ago. This is probably your best bet!

I have drawn a very basic and brief diagram for you of the 'Easier' way....

Drawn up in 5 mins but hopefully explains a little more...

    Good Luck
