    error # 24 sdk does not respond to comands

    Hello Kiek, could you please help. I am getting an error #24 sdk does not respond to commands. ver 9.9 with fs2004. I will try to attach a screen print. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all programs lvld, sioc and lekseecon. still with no avail. and run all as admin windows 7 pro 64 bit.

    I did just test it on my fsx level d and it connects and runs ok. unfortunately my system is not up to par for full perfomace in fsx. that is why I am still running fs9

    Hi,
    I've slightly changed the test. Please download lekseecon.exe from here (version 9.10) and overwrite your version.

    Re: error # 24 sdk does not respond to comands

    nico sorry for the late reply work has been very busy not much time to work on the sim. I downloaded and replaced my existing install. However when I run the exe im getting an error. "levldsdk.dll is missing". Did I do something wrong?

    Now off the topic here is a question for you. Is it possible to use one encoder as two? I was thinking of a way to have an encoder with a push button to control the comm freq. when turned it would change the high side of the freq and when holding down the internal push button and rotating the encoder it would change the low side. any thoughts on if this would be possible.

    Thanks again
    Tim

    Yes, indeed, you must have deleted that file (or installed the new version in the wrong folder... it has to be in the lekseecon folder...). Please re-install lekseecon and overwrite again..

    Yes of course, just write the right SIOC script...

    thanks for the reply I will attempt the reinstall when I get home tonight. Now I was hoping your reply was going to be yes on my second guess. im still really new to the sioc language so do you have any examples of what im trying to do. I was thinking something along the lines of an If type control. if that Is the true im assuming all of the encoder script would follow in brackets under the if statement controlling the state of the push button. sorry If that Is confusing hard to explain what im thinking

    Re: error # 24 sdk does not respond to comands

    so I have been writing some stuff down trying to put my thoughts on paper this is what I got so far am I heading down the right path?
    Var 9000 name button link iocard_sw input 13
    Var 510 static link iocard_sw input 1
    var 511 static link iocard_sw input 2

    var 515 static
    var 516 static
    var 9001 name encoder link iocard_encoder input 11 acceleration 1 type 2
    {
    L0 = &encoder
    IF &button = 0
    {
    &encoder = rotate 0 359 L0
    var 515 = &encoder
    }
    ELSE
    {
    &encoder = rotate 0 359 L0
    var 516 = &encoder
    }
    }

    After staring at this on the screen after typing it I feel I am missing something. displays I know but I feel I should be setting sometype of value prior. is this a good guess.

    Thanks
    Tim

    Hi Tim,
    I have no time to give SIOC lessons, sorry. Please study examples, here is one.

    Thank you for the example. I understand you are very busy with all lekseecon related topics as it is a very popular program. I was not asking you for a lesson nearly a point in the right direction which you have done with your link. I am a person who would rather figure things out on my own. Helps when your learning something new. Sioc is very new to me and I know someone else has been in my shoes before so I was hoping maybe they would chime in. Again thank you for your input and again please don't mistake my asking for your input as a way of me getting you to give me any lessons or to complete a task for me.
    Thanks again and happy flying.
    Tim.

    After some time looking into things. I finally solved my error 24. When I rebuilt my pc and reinstalled all the programs including my level d I realized that I reinstalled all service packs for the leveld up to sp2.1. I had forgotten to install sp3 after doing so the error 24 msg went away and all is working well now. This was for the fs9 setup. Fsx was working with now issues right from the start. Figured i would let you know in case you come across anyone else having the same issue. Thanks again for all the help and hard work you have put into your program.
